Investigative Journalist and Product Reviewer
Some time ago I realized that my photos were no longer safe on my computer. I came to this conclusion when I read a news article about how many computers, phones, and other devices crash every year – and how, more importantly, thousands of crucial memories are lost.
While reading this article, I was taken aback to a recent family vacation. I took hundreds of happy pictures of my children, grandchildren, and husband enjoying the sunny beaches of Hawaii. It was truly an experience like no other.
Then I imagined all of those photo memories being lost… I had to find a way to save them.
As an investigative journalist by nature, my instincts kicked in. I researched the best photo backup drives, but there weren’t any honest reviews written. Many of them sounded bias, looked spammy, or seemed like scam products. I came to the conclusion that I had to write my own honest review of the best photo backup drives on the market.
If you’re like I was, you’re searching to find the best way to keep your memories safe from loss. I hope this article will help you make an educated and satisfying buying decision…

✔️ Fastest backup
✔️ Compatible with: PC, Windows, Android, and Mac! ANY USB DEVICE!
✔️ One-click photo and file restoration
While searching for the best photo backup drives I wanted something that is easy to use. As an older person, I am just not able to figure out complex, new technology. InfinitiKloud Wireless was perfect for this as it took just one click to instantly backup, store, and organize all of my photos and videos – on all of my devices.
The best part of InfinitiKloud Wireless is that I just need one to back up all of my devices: my Mac computer, my husband’s Windows computer, my phone, and more…
The only problem I had while using InfinitiKloud was that my computer crashed during the photo backup. This could have been a problem with my computer or due to the InfinitiKloud Wireless software, but it only happened once thankfully.
InfinitiKloud Wireless was easier to use than anything on else this list – making it a clear winner.
Here’s what customers are saying about it…
My favorite feature that makes InfinitiKloud Wireless stand out is it’s WIRELESS capability that allows for multiple backups, at the same time.
You can easily connect it to any Wi-Fi connection, download their app (on any device), and start backing up photos from every device in your home. Impressive, isn’t it? It may sound complicated, but I promise it was easy for me (and I’m not good with new technology).
It operates similarly to InfinitiKloud except it doesn’t requires cables, and requires a Wi-Fi connection. Like I pointed out, the key difference between the two is the requirement for Wi-Fi.
InfinitiKloud Wireless was almost as easy to use as InfinitiKloud, but it was more complicated when connecting it to Wi-Fi. Here’s what customers are saying about it…
To put it simply, I was very impressed by MemorySafeX. I was a bit worried that this product would be a scam as the company is based in China, but it is actually incredible.
The program on my computer worked similar to InfinitKloud, but it was just a bit slower and outdated. Regardless, it managed to save and organize get every single photo and video on my device.
I was able to see all of my photos organized by date after the backup. I also love how MemorySafeX includes a variety of plugs so I can use it in my computer, phone, and iPad.
It didn’t exceed InfinitiKloud as it was slower. But it may be an even less technical option for those who don’t have Wi-Fi.
While I was impressed by Picture Keeper, it’s by no means the winner.
I liked that Picture Keeper has a USB on one side and your choice of plug on the other side. But, you have to buy multiple Picture Keepers to make it worthwhile.
It worked fine to backup my photos and allowed me to organize them some. The software wasn’t very intuitive. I had to have my son help me figure out how I could backup my photos.
It’s ranked below the others as I’d have to buy a Picture Keeper for each device and it lacks an easy way to organize photos.
ThePhotoStick is a VERY well known product, but it is getting outdated. The version I used worked to backup my photos, which is why it deserves 4 stars. But it failed in many ways. The biggest problem was that it left my photos totally unorganized. One of the reasons I was excited to try ThePhotoStick was the automatic sorting function, but that didn’t seem to work.
I attempted to contact support about this problem, but they didn’t really give a great answer. If there was a newer, updated version of ThePhotoStick then I think it could be real competition for InfinitiKloud, but as of now it simply doesn’t compete.
As I said earlier, all of these photo backup drives are a great option to keep your memories safe from being lost. But, I determined that InfinitiKloud Wireless is the best, and here’s why…
When I tried InfinitiKloud Wireless, it was SO fast and easy to backup my computer and phone!
It made me realize why backing up is so important! You need safety and to keep your files private. But heck, even I have some photos I want only for myself, so why not some secrecy. Big providers do not provide that.
This was my experience:
1. I ordered online and decided to upgrade to the 128GB size, because I have a lot of photos and music. It arrived in less than a week!
2. It plugged directly into my laptop like a USB stick! It even came with a USB-C adapter and a USB adapter, meaning I could use it with all the latest PC’s and Macs, as well as my Android phone. It basically works with any USB device.
3. I backed up all the files on my computer and my phone with a single click!
If you have important files on your computer or your phone, you NEED to get InfinitiKloud Wireless. Trust me, if I can use it, anybody can.
Don’t wait until it’s too late like I did. Get yours now so you can back up your data before you lose it forever!
InfinitiKloud Wireless is the only device that can move data from your desktop PC to your Surface Pro, and then to your Samsung S10, all using one device. No other backup device does this, and it even works with your iMac! Its USB 3.0 capability means that any device with a USB port is quickly and easily backed up at the fastest speeds.
